"Prof. Przeworski has been awarded the prize for 'essentially raising the scientific standards regarding the analysis of the relations between democracy, capitalism and economic development'. He has devoted his research to the interplay between economics and politics, particularly the relationship between democracy and capitalism. One of his most significant contributions in this regard is the conception that economic development does not generate democracy, but rather helps it to survive insofar as there comes to be too much to lose from rocking the system". Democracy as a Method of Processing Conflicts". No la he encontrado en línea, pero sí encontré un paper que aborda un tema similar, "Consensus and Conflict in Western Thought on Representative Government". Ver:
